08/04/18: Kabaka’s Birthday Tournament

It was all smiles for the “Ultimates as they claimed their 2nd trophy this season after defeating arch rivals Nkumba VC in a one sided encounter that ended 3:0. As usual, the Namboole based side dominated Nkumba with their incisive serving, spiking and defense leaving the latter with very few options to come back in the game.  Setter Winnie Nakabuubi had a splendid game as she connected well with all her team mates to split the Nkumba defense. ” I believe this is a great come back for me after all this time I have been away from the game, since my return I have been working out hard like the rest of the team. It is such a great feeling that my hard work has earned me a trophy, ” claimed Winnie.

VVC Coach Hannington Nsubuga as usual dedicated the championship to the team and the Fans Brigade for being resilient and positive towards the club’s efforts.

The coming weekend at the Annual KIU Open, might see the two teams lock horns again, as VVC seeks to defend the title they won last year. As for now, The Ultimates continue their hard work on training and bonding in Namboole while looking forward to other championships.

Next is KIU Open: 14th – 15th April 2018
