Makerere University Kampala, 25/03/18:

A hot, afternoon in the city’s most prestigious institution did not deter the “Ultimates” from going past a hard fighting Ndejje team. Fresh from the AWCC 2018 in Cairo – Egypt, VVC put up a spirited fight to come from a set down to take the day in a thrilling match that kept the fans entertained. VVC controlled the rest of the game dependent on outside hitter, Vivian Adeke’s split serving  and Irene Amoding’s precision spiking. The opposite player earlier had a quiet afternoon but later rose to the occasion to break Ndejje’s tight defense. Captain Namyalo had this to say, “We are all working hard and I feel we are getting better as a team day by day, we support each other on and off court and we believe that with our fans behind us, we shall achieve our goals this season. ” ” My appreciation goes to Zaina & Becky who worked hard in rejuvenating our defense in the subsequent sets, they won this for us.” The final scores were 20 25, 25 21, 25 23, 25 15 in favour of VVC.

The MUK Open, was the first trophy that VVC won after inception in 2014 defeating the same opponent then.
